So just who does read this blog?
Well, I'm curious, who exactly [if anyone :P] reads Constitutionally Correct reguarly...A journalist [rolls eyes] always should know his readership.

John Roberts?
"I'm going to appoint a strict constructionist."-George Bush, no more than a month ago.
Minutes ago, the AP announced that George W. Bush is about to announce John G. Roberts as his Supreme Court appointee. But just who is John Roberts.
http://www.independentjudiciary.com/nominees/nominee.cfm?NomineeID=5John Roberts is a socially conservative activist judge. Super. He believes that public school prayer is okay, and that the Federal Government can regulate abortion...Whatever you do, don't ask him what Article of the Constitution gives the government power to do either one.
At one point I had a great deal of respect for George Bush, but this is an incredible betrayal of my trust. I don't care is a Constitutionalist would be called extreme, George. You said you'd appoint one and you didn't...in English, we call that a lie. Justice Janice Brown was just to damn "extreme" [READ: Just] for you wasn't she, so instead, you don't even appoint a moderate, you appoint a social conservative, finally giving power to Christian Conservatives.
Nice going George, hey Democrats, fillibuster like there's no tommorow.

They....just...don't...get it.
Today, President Bush said that he'd like to see a moderate appointed to the Supreme Court...Well, that sounds great and well and reasonable, way to be a uniter, not a divider George...But...ummm...What the hell is a moderate Supreme Court Justice? Someone who upholds the Constitution 50% of the time? How 'bout appointing a man or woman who faithfully upholds the Constitution...you know, like that oath says? Oh, that's right, because a Constitutionalist will be labled an "ultra-conservative" by the Democratic Party. That's right boys and girls, doing your job as a member of the judiciary will result in your record being called into question and your character being impuned, welcome to America 2005. So what will wind up happening is instead of appointing a hardcore Constitutionalist [cough, Janet Brown], a wishy washy, I love everybody judge will be appointed, maintaining the number of judges who couldn't care any less about the Constitution at seven. If you are a Democrat or anyone really who thinks that Constitutionalism is extreme, I'm asking you why? Seriously. Why is it that a judge that upholds the Constitution at all costs extreme? And while your answering that, here's another, tell me what an "unextreme" judge looks like.

God Bless the United Kingdom
I'm not going to re-explain what happened in London like other blogs are doing...You already know. With that being said, I offer my condolences to the people of England and especially London. I'm proud as a human being to see there defiance in the face of terrorism and hope that they continue being a beacon of freedom for the rest of the world.

He felt like a nigger...that's all
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/gossip/story/319830p-273490c.htmlRalph Nader said, "I felt like a nigger." in that he was not allowed to appear on ballots in Souther states. He also said this in a room with a fair amount of reporters in it, apparently he knew that he was among friends. As you can see, my link came from the New York Daily Freaking News, so you know that no one else is covering this.
Here's my favorite part of the article:
Yesterday, Nader told me he was using the word in the same spirit as the Black Panthers of the 1960s - "as a word of defiance."
Ahahahahahahahahahahaha.....hahahahahahahahaha.
A word of defiance...What a badass! Ralph you're a blue blooded, WHITE, millionaire, Ivy League, Princeton Grad...speak not of defiance sir.
Okay, enough fooling around...What message is the media in this country sending if it allows some [pardon the expression] rich liberal cracker from the Northeast to use a racial epithet but runs out of office a rich conservative cracker from Mississippi for suggesting that we'd be better off with a former racist as Senator? If this doesn't scream "Media Bias!" To you what does. The American Left is being completely protected by the very same people charged with the responsibility of informing the American people. What the Hell has happened to journalism?

Cut and Paste
[turns away from Presidential Speech last night]...And that friends, is why God invented Microsoft Word...cut and paste baby, cut and paste...
In a mindblowing speech that lacked any resemblance of a fresh idea, the President outlined his outline of the outline of the Iraq post-war plannish...thing. In addition, he re-explained why he will not commit more troops to Iraq saying, "If my generals tell me they need more troops, I'll give them to them." That's easy to say after firing the generals who speak out now isn't it.
What pissed me off the most was this though, and I'm paraphrasing, "The terrorists in Iraq are of the same mentality of those that attacked us on 9/11." Yeah, I know, that
is true, but that wasn't what he was trying to do. He was trying to connect Sept. 11th with Iraq indirectly and discreetly...It was a very underhanded thing to do and I expect more from this or any President of the United States.
